Which Compass generation should you buy?
2017 to 2021: looks like a small Grand Cherokee
A real 4x4 option in a compact size, especially the Trailhawk. The 2.4L engine and nine-speed automatic are the weak spots.
2022 and newer: the better Compass
The 2022 refresh brought a far better interior and a bigger screen, and from 2023 a 2.0L turbo replaced the 2.4L. Much easier to recommend.
