Used Mitsubishi Outlander
Quick answer

A used Mitsubishi Outlander in Canada lists for roughly $6,500 to $41,000 in October 2026. The years I'd target are a 2022 to 2023 car at about $21,000 to $35,500.

What does a used Mitsubishi Outlander cost in Canada?

These ranges are built from current average asking prices on CarGurus.ca across Canada, year by year. They cover the bulk of the market: a very high-kilometre car will sit below the range, and a nearly new, dealer-certified one at the top or above it.

Canadian market asking prices, October 2026

YearsTypical range
2014 to 20163rd generation$6,500 to $13,000
2017 to 20203rd generation, later years$10,000 to $21,000
2022 to 20234th generation$21,000 to $35,500
2024 to 20254th generation, newer years$26,500 to $41,000

Which Outlander generation should you buy?

2014 to 2021: cheap seven seats

A simple SUV with a 2.4L and a CVT, or a 3.0L V6 on top trims, and a small third row. Very cheap used, but feels old inside.

2022 and newer: a different SUV

The fourth generation shares its basics with the Nissan Rogue, with a 2.5L engine, a much better interior and Mitsubishi's S-AWC all-wheel drive. A big jump in quality.

Outlander pros and cons

What owners like

  • Long factory powertrain warranty on newer cars
  • Seven seats in a compact footprint
  • Strong AWD system for winter

What owners complain about

  • Third row is tight
  • Older cars feel dated and noisy
  • Faster depreciation than the class leaders

What should you check before buying a used Outlander?

  • Warranty: check how much factory powertrain warranty is left and whether it transfers to you as the next owner.
  • CVT: test from a cold start and at low speed for shudder or slipping.
  • All years: test AWD, the screen and phone connection, read the full Carfax, and run the VIN for open recalls.

Those are the Outlander-specific items. The general checks for any used car are in my pre-purchase inspection checklist, and before any money moves, run a lien check.

The 2022 and newer Outlander is the one to buy: more SUV than the price suggests, with seven seats and good AWD. The older one is only worth it when it's very cheap and clean.
